I had the opportunity to talk to the designer a bit and here's what she said!

If you would please tell me a little about how you make your cards and where you find your paper.

For my solid colored cards, I purchase the solid colored paper locally at a craft shop. I like the simplicity of using color as the attraction, more than an embellishment. I usually choose colors that are my favorites! It helps that many of my favorites are quite popular right now such as the muted vintage colors like mustard, olive and teal. I also choose colors that make a strike combination, such as pale teal and red. I love bold combos like this but don't often find them because they don't always appeal the majority I supposed, but I think a lot of people like them. I try to carry colors and sizes that I have said to myself "gee I wish I could find this somewhere". If I am looking for it, chances are someone else is too!I have recently, just in the last few months, begun designing my own prints with Photoshop. I create the design and send it to a local printer. When my stacks of original paper are returned, I cut it down on my super amazing paper cutter which can cut almost 2" worth of paper in one fell swoop! After cutting to the size I want, I fold, round, and correlate to a colored envelope, belly band it, pop it in a cello bag and it's ready for my customer:)

How long have you been making them?

I started dabbling around with paper journals about 2 years ago. But in May of this year, I decided I needed to sort of start fresh, with a better shop focus, a new shop name relevant to my work, and better photographs. So I started ThePaperAddict on May 6. And I think it was the best move I have made and am more than satisfied with how well it's going.

What is your inspiration?

Color color color. I love designs too, but I love color. A place like Target or Old Navy is terrible for me because there are soooooo many colors, having such a beautiful assortment of colors in a store like that is enough to make me want to purchase things I don't need, simply because of the colors and even the arrangement of the colors on the shelf. 3 different shades of green towels, all in a row? Don't mind if I do!:)

Tell me about you!

I am 28 years old, recently married to a wonderful hubby who occasional is persuaded to round card corners for me:) We both love photography, good food, cooking and aspire to be self employed someday!

I really hope you all take a jot over to THE PAPER ADDICT & even if you don't win this fun little give away, that you make a purchase! Her prices are amazing!
