Nutcrackers...Sweet!

I love all things Christmas! Who doesn't? To me, Christmas is like Disneyland in that it is the Happiest Time on Earth! With Santa and Snowflakes, Christmas trees & Elves it's that special time of year that brings each of us back to our own childhoods.
But my most favorite thing of all are.....
Nutcrackers

The following photos are of Nutcrackers from an Etsy Store called Nutcrackersnmore!

In 1872 Wilhelm F├╝chtner, known as the "father of the nutcracker," made the first commercial production of nutcrackers using the lathe to create many of the same design.

According to German folklore, nutcrackers were given as keepsakes to bring good luck to your family and protect your home. The legend says that a nutcracker represents power and strength and serves like a trusty watch dog guarding your family from evil spirits and danger. A fierce protector, the nutcracker bares its teeth to the evil spirits and serves as the traditional messenger of good luck and goodwill.

Today the Premier Nutcracker Maker is Germany's Christian Ulbricht you can visit his website {HERE}

I love my collection of Nutcrackers and hope that it continues to grow!

Wouldn't Mr. HTB love that?! LOL

Merry Christmas!
